Climbing Gym Attendant

The Climbing Gym Attendant is responsible for operating the day-to-day membership experience for Long Lines.  Attendants will create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests while delivering the experiences that Long Lines offers.  This position is a part-time, hourly role that reports to the Climbing Gym Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the resident expert of the facility and the products/services offered.
  • Interact with members and guests in a positive manner.
  • Provide members and guests with instruction on equipment and any necessary briefings.
  • Answer questions and troubleshoot guests needs.
  • Identify safety issues and communicate to management.
  • Check-in members and guests and administer purchases of passes, memberships, and retail items.
  • Prepare for the arrival of large groups and assist with check-in.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use sound judgement with safety as a top priority.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis.

Climbing Gym Supervisor

The Climbing Gym Supervisor is a key leadership position with a critical role in the fulfillment of Long Lines brand.  The Climbing Gym Supervisor assists in leading the team of front-line staff responsible for assisting and guiding guests through programs, events, route setting, retail/rental gear, and facility maintenance.  The Supervisor will assist with the smooth flow of the operation and ensure an outstanding guest experience.  This position is a part-time, hourly role that reports to the Climbing Gym Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety protocols.
  • Create a positive, inclusive environment for all members and guests and ensure the smooth operation of the gym.
  • Involvement in basic maintenance and inspections of all activity equipment and structures.
  • Maintain up-to-date skill sets and abilities in climbing and route setting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of operational systems for climbing walls.
  • Ability to effectively supervise a team.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and focused on the guest experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space
  • Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 75 pounds
