Climbing

Bouldering, auto-belay, top rope, and lead climbing are available at Long Lines with more than 5,000 square feet of climbing surface, 20+ routes and numerous bouldering problems.

Bouldering

Bouldering is an accessible climbing experience for newcomers to get comfortable on the wall and for avid climbers to train and develop more power. Climbers are welcome to develop their skills on the free-standing boulder structure and additional bouldering walls.

Auto-Belay

Auto-belaying is an opportunity for climbers without a belayer to access the walls. Climbers utilizing an auto-belay are required to have the appropriate certification for access.

Top Rope

Top roping is one of the two most accessible forms of climbing found in the Long Lines gym. New and experienced climbers alike can find their way with routes ranging in difficulty from 5.7 to 5.13.

Lead Climbing

Geared towards the more experienced climber, guests can challenge themselves on an assortment of routes within the Long Lines complex. Lead climbers must have the proper certification for access.

Equipment Rentals

Long Lines offers climbing shoes, harnesses, belay devices, and chalk in various packages to meet the needs of our members and guests. Visit the check-in desk to learn about specific available equipment.

What to Wear

Harness

Guests must wear a harness for all climbing experiences except bouldering.

Shoes

Secured, closed toe shoes are required.

Clothing

Guests must be wearing a shirt with their midriff covered and shorts or pants. Skirts and dresses are not permitted.

Check-In

  • Enter Long Lines Recreation Center from the 1st Floor parking lot entrance.
  • Proceed up the ramp to the 2nd Floor.
  • Proceed to the the Check-In Desk on the north end of the building.
